Logical Model Walkthroughs

One single model shares its elements with all the components of the running application. During the execution of this application, data extracted from the data sources is stored into this logical object model on which transformations and/or analyses are performed before it is loaded into the destination databases or inputted into reports.

The single model used to transfer and transform the data is called logical model.

The transform phase applies a series of rules or functions to the extracted data. These transformations are set by the user on the transfer model elements:
